1. Alpha Health Education Publications There are 17 books in this series (see book list below). Alpha Nutrition Health Education publications address the most important health issues and their solution. Everyone, who is interested in Nutritional Therapy, will need a copy of the Alpha Nutrition Program. The books on specific topics such as skin disorders, digestive disorders, arthritis, asthma, chronic fatigue, celiac disease, are written to an intelligent reader who has an unusual interest and ability to learn and organize self-management. The underlying concept is that the solution for most diseases requires your active involvement. To solve a health problem, important changes to diet, exercise and lifestyle are required. Smart people, given the right information, should be able to self-manage and solve most of their health problems. We include technical sections and abstracts from the medical literature in many publications. The effort required to read the more technical discussions will be rewarded with better understanding and more confidence in self-management. The information in some texts will overlap to some degree, but the reader may want to go further and order texts that are more detailed. You might become interested in food allergy, for example, when you read discussions in the Book of Arthritis or the Book of Skin and want to read more in the Book of Allergy and Immunology. Books are produced on a high speed laser printer and bound with plastic comb (cirlox). The advantages of a comb binder are many: the books open easily and the pages lay flat for easy reading. The only disadvantage is that there is no printed spine for easy identification when the book is stored vertically in a book case. By printing books when they are ordered, we are now free to update and revise books on a more frequent schedule. eBooks All the books are now available in eBook versions. We like eBooks because they are easy to update and avoid all the costs and complications of printing and shipping printed books. Generally, the eBook versions are updated more often than the print versions. eBook are for people who like read on monitors and portable devices and can do without the printed book.
