Alpha PMX is a complete nutrient set minus the lipid component, designed to be mixed with water, fruit or vegetable juices. Alpha PMX is a dry powder and is preferred for longer-term storage of nutrients and traveling. The vegetable oil as the fat component has been omitted, extending the shelf life. Any vegetable oil and/or seed oil can be added to Alpha PMX at the time of use to complete the nutrient set. The formula is packaged in 1000 Gram and 500 Gram plastic jars. An adult using minimal energy can live for 4 days on 1000 Grams of Alpha PMX and water. Alpha PMX has a longer shelf life than the Alpha Nutrition formulas and can be used as portable food. Alpha PMX is less sensitive to heat driven oxidation and is a better choice for storage and /or traveling in hot climates. Fatty acids can be supply separately in the form of fresh vegetable and/or seed oil added to the formula at the time of mixing with juices or water. Store Survival Rations If you want to store nutrient rations, a one kilogram bottle of Alpha PMX can supply basic nutrition for one adult for 4 days. The formula can be stored in a cool dark place for two years or longer. The formula can be placed in cold storage or freezer to extend its shelf life to several years. A stable vegetable oil can be stored in a similar manner and added to the dried powder to complete the nutrient set. Flavored fruit drink powders such as Kool-Aid can be added to Alpha PMX to flavor the mixture (no extra sugar is required). Water requirement: we recommend storing 4 Liters of water per person per day. Replace stored tap water every 6 months. The formula is especially useful as a survival food if illness or injury requires complete, easy to digest nutrition. |
